Rosemount Was Awarded 100,000 CNY in China

Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court recently entered a judgment on the unfair
competition case of Rosemount Inc. and Beijing Rosemount Far East Instruments Co., Ltd. vs.
Shanghai Rosemount Instruments Co., Ltd. The case finally went in the plaintiff's favor.
In 1982, the plaintiff, i.e. Rosemount Inc. has registered its trademark "ROSEMOUNT"in
China. In the early 1990s, Rosemount Inc. in succession set up two affiliated enterprises with
the trade name of "罗斯蒙特" in Shanghai and Beijing. "罗斯蒙特", whether as its trade
name or the sole Chinese transliteration of its trademark "ROSEMOUNT", has acquired high
reputation before the establishment of the defendant.
As of November 11, 2004, the defendant, i.e. Shanghai Rosemount Instruments Co., Ltd.
registered "罗斯蒙特"as its trade name, used the name, packaging and decoration peculiar to
the plaintiff
